Terms (draft)

A short, plain-language description of the deal between you and Verbatim Voices. Last drafted October 2026.

1. What the service does

Verbatim Voices turns a transcript file you upload into audio read by computer voices, with a private listen page. It is provided as is, and some features are still being built.

2. Your file

Upload only files you have the right to use. You keep all rights to your documents. You give us permission to process the file only to make your recording and listen page. Do not upload sealed, restricted or unlawful material.

3. Access

Uploads need an invite code. Keep it and your private links safe. Anyone with a private link can listen until the files are deleted.

4. Price and agreement

We show you the price before any recording starts. You are charged only if you choose Make the recording. Launch pricing is $0.16 per 1,000 characters with a $10 minimum per document, shown to you before you agree (see Pricing). Payments are not open yet. Refund, tax and payment details will be posted before anyone is charged.

5. Deletion

Files are deleted automatically 48 hours after the recording is ready, and sooner if you press Delete this audio now. You are responsible for downloading what you need before then. We cannot recover deleted files.

6. Not the official record, not legal advice

The recording is a convenience copy and may contain mistakes. The written transcript is the official record. Nothing here is legal advice, and no lawyer-client relationship is created. Check important details yourself or with a person you trust.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to harm others, to get around its limits, or to upload things you may not share. We may refuse or remove a job, or stop an invite, that does.

8. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties, and our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.

9. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
